  ANNIVERSARY MASS
will be celebrated on the last Sunday of every other month in the intention of the couples celebrating their anniversary of marriage. The next anniversary Masses will be on: Aug. 28, Oct. 30, Dec. 25. Information at the parish office.
 
  FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF BAPTISM
Blessing of children who are celebrating their first anniversary of Baptism takes place during the 1:00 p.m Mass on the last Sunday of the month. We ask that parents forward their names to the parish office at least one month in advance. (Names will be announced in the bulletin).
  CONTEST K.S.M (Catholic Youth Studio)
for the best song dedicated to John Paul II. Rules: 1) The length of the song cannot exceed 5 min. and must be copied on a CD and sent to KSM on 183 Roncesvalles Ave., Toronto, ON M6R 2L5 by August 31st 2005. The song will be judged on music, text and style. The winner will be chosen by a voting procedure on the following websites www.ksmradio.com or www.catholicradio.ca. The songs can be heard on the above mentioned websites where listeners from all over the world can vote for their favourite. Voting will take place from 1-7 September 2005. First Place-performance alongside the Symphony Orchestra during the JPII Legacy Concert in the Roy Thomson Hall on 22nd of October 2005. be polite to others
mind the service committee

take it easy in the parking lot it is not the war zone.
 
HOW TO AVOID WATER TRAGEDIES. On Tuesday, July 26th following the evening Mass around 7:45pm, there will be a meeting in the parish hall on the topic of “How to Avoid Water Tragedies”. PILGRIMAGE TO MIDLAND: 8th-14th of August.
Sign-ups for the XXIII Walking Pilgrimage to the Canadian Martyrs Shrine in Midland will be held on the 17th & 24th of July in the parish hall after every Mass. OHIP numbers required. Cost is $60/person or $10/person/day. Pilgrims please bring: tent-sleeping bag-mattress or mat, gas bottle, utensils, water bottle, cotton socks, shirts with sleeves, mosquito repellant, first aid kit, washroom supplies (i.e. toilet paper), sunscreen, comfortable (not new) shoes, raincoat and hat. The program is as follows: 9 am- chance to go to confession, 10:30 am- Rosary, 11:15 am- entry of 23rd walking pilgrimage, 11:30 am- Holy Mass, 3pm- Eucharistic Celebration. Those who wish to go to Midland by bus on the 14th of August can sign up in the parish hall after every Mass until 3pm. Cost is $40. Departure time is 7:30am. PILGRIMAGE TO MARTYRS’ SHRINE: September 10th, 2005. Bishop Boissonneau invites you and other parishioners in the Western Pastoral Region to celebrate the Year of the Eucharist by joining our Pilgrimage to Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland on Saturday, September 10th 2005. Transportation will be provided. There will be an opportunity to walk the grounds of Martyrs’ Shrine, attend the Eucharist in the Shrine Church and learn about the Jesuit missionaries who were responsible for bringing Christianity to Canada. We will pray the Stations of the Cross keeping our gaze constantly fixed on Christ, “The Way, and the Truth, and the Life”. For tickets and information: Bishop Boissonneau’s Office at 416 207-4983.

POPE’S GALA CONCERT – will take place in the Royal Thomson Hall on 22.X.2005 - on the 27th anniversary of electing Cardinal Karol Wojtyla for a Pope, as a Thanksgiving for John Paul II for His unshaken testimony of faith is being organized by Catholic Youth Studio.
 
RENOVATION OF ALTAR. The Confederation of Polish Priests would like to inform everyone regarding their decision to renovate the Polish altar at the Canadian Martyr’s Shrine in Midland where a mosaic portraying Our Lady of Czestochowa will be installed. The cost of the installation will exceed $10, 000. Offerings can be made through the Credit Union to the account MIDLAND or by cheque to the following address; Confederation of Polish Priests; 71 Indian Trail, Toronto Ontario, M6R 2A1.
 
RETREAT – AUGUST PRECHED RETREAT, August 19-23 - Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre, Mississauga, is offering this retreat which is open to priests, religious, and lay men and women. Be a human being among the creatures, a brother amongst brothers; Treat created things with love and respect… so begins the ecological Decalogue of St. Francis of Assisi. If you wish to learn why a Saint of the Middle Ages became the patron of ecology, please listen to the next Rosary Hour program. STAMPS FOR CHARITY - Simply taking the stamp, by tearing off the corner of the envelope with the stamp, and putting it in the basket provided, in the narthex starts a process that results in charity for the less fortunate. Please do not throw your used stamps away.
 
TRADITIONAL MASS. On August 14th 2005 following the Midland ceremonies, a traditional Mass will be held in our Parish at 11:00 p.m. in honour of the 10th Anniversary of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome.
